Productos J. Jiménez S.L. (DOÑA JIMENA) is a familiar company founded in 1.961 in a small village of Jaén (Andalucía) named Alcaudete. The name of the company, DOÑA JIMENA, has its origin in the name of the wife of the Cid Campeador, the Spanish hero who fought against the muslims in Spain; Doña Jimena was married with El Cid, one of the most famous and brave heroes Spain ever had. Traditionally, during its first 30 years of history, the company produced traditional Spanish Christmas sweets like almond puff pastries, marzipan, puff pastries and soft almond delights. However, observing the potential grow of the chocolates area, the staff management designed and began to perform in 1.990 an expansion and diversification business plan with the aim of amplifying the range of products the company produced. With this aim, the company launched a range of chocolate sweets and new snacks scale, assorted chocolates, Belgian pralines and “boero” for the Christmas Season, that would be trade for the national and international market during the whole year and, this way, getting out from the seasonal activity.

The range of products is enough wide to satisfy many different markets and customers and its divided in “Traditional Specialities”, “Chocolates”, “Easter”, “Christmas” and “Valentin Day”.

Nowadays, DOÑA JIMENA is one of the biggest producers and traders in the Spanish market of chocolates and pralines and other traditional Spanish specialities for Christmas and exports its products in more than 70 countries in Europe, North and South America, Middle Orient and Asia. Thanks to our branches in Mexico, Argentina, Portugal and USA, DOÑA JIMENA, has achieved a great presence all around the world.
